Hi everyone, if your like me you never know what to give to that special someone you care about (like what gifts to give mom for Mothers day). I can only give a few tips becuase I really don’t know myself. For me the best place to start is by thinking about what you know about the person you’re trying to give a gift too. Do they have a hobby that they love or a activity that they do all the time, this is always a good place to start. Then you have to do a little detective work…lets say your Mom loves sewing, well then you can start thinking about gifts related to sewing like thimbles, scissors, tape measures really any kind of sewing accessories. You can always go to your local craft store and look around but if your like me this gets confusing fast and you never really know if they already have what you’re getting ready to buy them. That’s why antiques and antique reproductions can be a great way to go. Most of these items will not be in the regular gift store so your recipient problably hasn’t seen it already and if you go the antique reproduction route then your gift doesn’t have to be expensive either. Really I know it is corny but it is true “It’s the thought that counts” the part that most people leave out is the thought part. If you do this right gift giving events can be a blast and not cost you a fortune….Have fun being the gift detective….
